A few days later, Ember Snow and Emily Willis have still not figured out the riddle when they meet up with each other. After chatting about the different things they've done as each other over the course of the last few days, they begrudgingly apologize to each other for how much fighting they've done, adding that there's no time for any more petty squabbles. Valedictorian is being chosen tomorrow so they NEED to figure out how to reverse the swap NOW.
Realizing that this is their last chance, they decide to go back to the library in a last-ditch effort to decipher the riddle.
But the girls are frustrated when, after hours of research, they still haven't found any useful information. As they discuss the possibilities of living out their lives in each other`s bodies, they suddenly have an epiphany: they have to have sex with each other to reverse the spell.
